You don’t get paid by the hour !!, You get paid based on the value you provide to that hour

Our life is formed by the philosophies and the perspective we hold about it, in order to bring change in our lives, we have to change our thinking and bring new perspectives to expand our mindset. Mindset is simply the set of values and principles that hold our realities in place.

We have to bring the smallest shifts in ideas and perspectives This shifts will help us to become more valuable to the marketplace and attract all the abundance in life.

People often blame others for our own problems and issues, like the government is not right, the weather is not right, I am too busy to learn new skills, etc. The external situation may not get better, but you can change yourself, The change comes once we take responsibility and take control of our life.

Watch the full video below,

“You don’t get paid for the hour. You get paid for the value you bring to the hour.”

This philosophy comes from the first American businessman and philosopher and my first mentor, Jim Rohn

It goes against the traditional teaching systems in schools, colleges, and society as they only teach us to go to the educational system and get a secure job, the problem with this is most people live the same year for 20-40 years until they retire and live a mediocre life.
If you want to do something extra-ordinary and live extra-ordinary life.
You have to develop skills, techniques, and innovation by bringing it to the marketplace and giving more value to others. Always do more and give more value than what you are being paid for,

“The man who does more than he is paid for will soon be paid for more than he does” – Napoleon Hill
(Author of “Think and grow rich”)

The above quote may sound a bit cheesy, however, it is no far from the truth.

For example, if you are currently working in a job that doesn’t satisfy you and fulfill you, Try your best to incorporate new transferrable skills and bringing more value to the current situation, building up your CV and gain experience.  It will open up new possibilities and new opportunities.

In that way when you are ready to change your job or move up the corporate ladder if that’s your dream, you would have done the work and acquired the skills required for that position.

Learn to work harder on yourself than you do on your job. If you work hard on your job you can make a living, but if you work hard on yourself you’ll make a fortune.”  Jim Rohn

The above quote is so powerful, it is about focusing on what you can do and what is in your control and focus on that. You cannot control the external but you can develop self-control. Things don’t get better by chance, they get better by change.

You cannot change the economy, the government, the company that you work in, in all the elements, you are the constant and the denominator, once you change, everything starts to work in your favor, no matter what the external circumstances are.

Strive to become better, become the best version of yourself, Become a little better than you were yesterday, it is a constant journey. find mentors, people that you idolize and look up to, ask them genuine questions, how they do it, learn their strategy

Bring more value to the marketplace
Learn new skills and really start to bring more value, start where you are, your current job, business, by giving more to customers, clients, your work, offer more than what you are expected of, make Growth a personal agenda where you operate from

Examples of what you can offer, your expertise, productivity, influence, vision, organization, awareness, personality, attitude (Approach)

Remember you are always in control, doing the same job for 25-30 years is just the same year done 25 times without any new skills or improvement if you are an entrepreneur, there is always a room for improvement, surround yourself with champions, winners and the people that can give you new perspectives.

“You are an average of five people you surround yourself with”

“Show me your friends and I will show you who you are”
